Dr Tina George"The Horvat Scholarship provided me with the opportunity to get an excellent undergraduate education. Having the scholarship allowed me to focus on my academic and research interests. I was able to prioritize internships and research projects rather than having to work exclusively to pay tuition. These experiences in turn prepared me for medical school. The Horvat continues to have a positive impact on my life today. I am able to practice as a primary care provider in my hometown of Avoca in large part because I do not have educational debt. I am tremendously grateful to the late Dr. Horvat and to the Foundation."

madeline moss"My education is something that is very important to me, and vital to the success of my future. Receiving the Horvat Scholarship has allowed me to attend the University of Pittsburgh and will allow me continue to follow my dream of being a Physician Assistant. This scholarship has permitted me to open new doors toward pursuing my degree. In the long run, this scholarship will help not just myself, but others that I will impact in the medical field. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity, and cannot wait for the end goal, that would not have been possible without it."
